By rental car
A car is the simplest option if you are staying more than a day or two. From the centre, take the N1 north: the road follows the coast through Aourir and Tamraght before reaching Taghazout. By bus: Agadir to Taghazout bus
City buses 32 and 33 run from central Agadir to Taghazout along the N1 (line 33 continues further north). A single ticket costs about 7.50 MAD, and the trip takes around 30 to 45 minutes. The operator does not publish a timetable for these lines; the most recent traveller guide puts the frequency at about every 30 minutes, from around 6:00 to 20:00. Buses are often busy, so they are not ideal with large bags or surfboards.
Important: Agadir’s urban bus network is due to move to a new ten-year contract on 28 September 2026. The operator, line numbers, fares or hours may change after that date, so check locally before relying on the bus.
From Agadir airport to Taghazout by bus
There is no direct bus from the airport to Taghazout. The airport shuttle (line L-AE) runs to the city in about 50 minutes and costs 50 MAD one way, or 80 MAD for a return valid for 15 days; tickets are sold on board or at the operator’s airport desk. From the city, travellers then change to line 32 or 33 for Taghazout. Allow around two hours in total, and note that the last bus connections leave around 19:00–20:00, so a late flight means a taxi or a transfer.
By grand taxi: taxi Agadir Taghazout
The small city taxis (petits taxis) only operate within Agadir, so for Taghazout you need a grand taxi.
- Shared grand taxi: grand taxis leave from Place Salam, in the Talborjt area of central Agadir, and depart when full. A seat costs about 10 MAD (15 MAD in the evening) and the trip takes 20 to 30 minutes. You can pay for the empty seats if you do not want to wait.
- Private taxi from the centre: hiring a whole taxi from central Agadir costs about 150 MAD.
From Agadir airport to Taghazout by taxi
The taxi rank is on the arrivals forecourt and operates 24 hours a day. The official fixed tariff published by the airport authority lists 300 MAD for Taghazout and Aourir. Recent traveller reports give 250 to 300 MAD by day and 300 to 350 MAD at night, for up to four passengers. Surfboards on the roof may cost extra, so agree the price, including boards, before you set off.
By private transfer
A pre-booked transfer means a driver waiting at arrivals and a fixed price. Prices from Agadir airport to Taghazout range from about 300 to 450 MAD per vehicle, with some operators listing €30 to €32.
